A tool is only as good as what you make it. Simply carrying a firearm vs carrying and knowing how to implement a firearm effectively are two totally different things and can be the difference between life vs death. Our CORE pistol classes focus on various aspects of shooting with the firearm carrier in mind. While reading articles and watching instructional/informational videos can help, there is nothing like getting out on the range and doing these things first hand.
